[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Jithin Raj is making the jump from the mini screen to the silver screen with his debut movie Niyum Pine Njanum. The singer, who made his presence felt with his delightful performances in the second season of Indian Voice, will be seen romancing Sneha Unnikrishnan, another mini screen star from the reality show Midukki.
“Even when I was participating in Indian Voice, a lot of people used to ask me why I didn’t try my luck in movies because of my looks. I used to say when the time is right, maybe I’ll get my chance and now luck has favoured me,” says Jithin.
Neeyum Pine Njanum is directed by Jojo K. Vargheese and the shooting is set to begin by the end of October. The movie narrates the dramatic events involving the lead characters of the film that unfold in one night. “The hero has suffered a lot of hardship and his character reflects his experiences.
The film is based on a Jayapraksh Kuloor story and the scripting was done by Anilkumar Thoruvoth. I felt this would be a very good movie for me to debut with,” says Jithin, adding that no mater what else he does in life, singing will always be his passion.
“It’s my strong point and singing is what I want to do all my life. I have already sung for two movies, a Malayalam movie Avarude Veedu and a Tamil movie Uppili.
