ഇനി ശരിയുത്തരം ഞാന്‍ തന്നെ പറയാം...
ആദ്യത്തെ തീവണ്ടി 'x ' ദൂരം സഞ്ചരിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ആണ് രണ്ടാമത്തെ തീവണ്ടിയെ ക്രോസ് ചെയ്തത് എന്ന് സങ്കല്‍പ്പിക്കുക.അപ്പോള്‍ രണ്ടാമത്തെ തീവണ്ടി സഞ്ചരിച്ച ദൂരം നിസ്സംശയം (20-x ) km ആയിരിക്കുമല്ലോ
രണ്ടു തീവണ്ടികളും ഒരേ സമയം ആണ് എടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത് ഇത്രയും ദൂരം ഓടാന്‍..
അത് കൊണ്ട്
x /40 = (20 -x )/60
സോള്‍വ് ചെയ്‌താല്‍ x = 8 km എന്ന് കിട്ടും
അങ്ങിനെ വരുമ്പോള്‍ ഓടിയ സമയം = 8 /40 = 12 /60 = 1 /5 hrs
പരുന്തിന്റെ വേഗത 80 kmph ആയതു കൊണ്ട് ഈ സമയം കൊണ്ട് പരുന്തു പരന്ന ദൂരം = 80 kmph x 1 /5 hrs
= 16 km
