Man bites off wife's ear, eats it

A drunk husband bit his sleeping wife's ear lobe in Kumaraswamy Layout, bangalore on Tuesday night. Police
claim he had fought with her earlier.

Roopa, 34, told police her husband Nagaraj Reddy never spent time with her and didn't care about her needs. On Tuesday, Reddy came home drunk around 10pm. Soon after dinner, they had a heated argument over his wayward ways. She went to sleep little realizing that Nagaraj was still seething with anger. A little while later, he grabbed her and bit off her ear lobe. Even as Roopa screamed in pain, Reddy separated the part which had the earring and swallowed the rest, police said.

While neighbours rushed to her rescue and took her to hospital, Reddy slipped away from the house and escaped. He's still absconding.
