Man explode firecracker in woman's mouth

Bhagalpur, Bihar

Suspecting an elderly woman of practising witchcraft, a man put a firecracker in her mouth and exploded it seriously injuring her at Dholbajja village in Bihar today.

The man put the fire cracker in the mouth of one Suhagin Devi (65) and lit it with a match stick after convincing her that he had offered a bidi to her, police said.

The woman sustained severe burns in her mouth and face, the police said.

She was rushed to a hospital.

The accused, identified as Astik Yadav, fled from the spot after committing the crime, the police said.
