The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2013 will be played from 9 Feb 2013 to 10 March 2013. The opening game will be played between Kerala Strikers and Mumbai Heroes.

This season CCL will have two new teams, Veer Marathi representing the Marathi Film Industry and Bhojpuri Dabbangs representing the Bhojpuri Film Industry.

Teams: Mumbai Heroes, Telugu Warriors, Chennai Rhinos, Karnataka Bulldozers, kerala Strikers, Bengal Tigers, Veer Marathi, Bhojpuri Dabanggs.

Kerala Strikers rock Mumbai

The Kerala strikers team of CCL were attention grabbers at the curtain-raiser event on Saturday (Jan 19) evening at Reliance Mediaworks studios, Film City, Mumbai.

The entire team consisting of biggies like Mohanlal, Indrajeet, Nivin Pauly, Bhavana, Rima Kallingal, Lissy and Mamta Mohandas were the eyecatchers in an event which also had Bollywood big guns like Salman Khan,Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu, Genelia, Prabhu Deva, Kajal Aggarwal and Sridevi among the star attraction. The highlight of the evening was when the Captain’s were introduced Mohanlal came to stage in a Vallom ( snake boat) as his team members cheered.

Later Mohanlal came on stage and sang “Aattumanal Payayil..” from Run Baby Run, probably the first time for national audiences. The event will be telecast in 8 channels of Star network. Mamta joined singing “ Daddy Mummy” and Indrajit too sang a few lines from an old hit.

The first match of CCL will be held in Kochi on February 9 and will involve the Kerala Strikers.
