was there any meaning in giving Merin 100..?

hallo friends merin chose a song which was not that easy especcially both the male and female portion of the song needs best power and pitch and she managed both well. so nothing wrong in giving her 100 but only thing is earlier one or two contestants also gave a similar perfect rendition when the judges failed to give 100 marks.
and let us stop comparing them with the contestants of the previos seasons.
