NEW DELHI: State-run BSNL will launch free roaming, starting tomorrow, which will allow all its mobile customers across the country to receive incoming calls at no cost.

"Now BSNL mobile customers will not need to carry multiple SIMs and handsets during roaming. They are free to talk as long as they want without worrying of any charges during incoming calls.

"In fact, it is like a dream of One Nation One Number' coming true," BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava said in a statement.

India will test a reusable launch vehicle next month, a technology that will bring down costs of launching satellites significantly, government today said.

The Indian Space Research (ISRO) will also launch Astrosat, India's first dedicated satellite for astronomy by September this year.

"This is in its initial stages. There are multiple experiments which need to be completed. The first launch is in July and this will help improve cost effectiveness. It will reduce the cost by one-tenth.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has collaborated with state-run telecom service provider BSNL for the service.

ഇന്തൊനീഷ്യയുടെയും കാനഡയുടെയും ഓരോ ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍ വീതവും യു.എസിന്റെ നാല് നാനോ ഉപഗ്രഹവുമാണ് ആസ്‌ട്രോസാറ്റിനൊപ്പം വിക്ഷേപിച്ചത്. 1513 കിലോഗ്രാം ഭാരമുള്ള സാറ്റലൈറ്റിന് അഞ്ചുവര്‍ഷമാണ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തനകാലാവധിയായി നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
