ബീഹാറില്‍ അവസാനഘട്ട പോളിങ് അവസാനിച്ചു. 57 ശതമാനം വോട്ടര്‍മാര്‍ അഞ്ചാം ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ വോട്ട് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. 243 അംഗ നിയമസഭയിലെ 57 സീറ്റുകളിലേക്കാണ് അവസാനഘട്ടത്തില്‍ വോട്ടെടുപ്പ് നടന്നത്. നവംബര്‍ 8 ഞായറാഴ്ച വോട്ടെണ്ണല്‍ നടക്കും. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോഡിയും ലാലു-നിതീഷ് സഖ്യവും നേരിട്ട് ഏറ്റുമുട്ടിയ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഇരു കൂട്ടര്‍ക്കും അഭിമാന പോരാട്ടമാണ്. ഭരണം നിലനിര്‍ത്താന്‍ ലാലുവും നിതീഷും കോണ്‍ഗ്രസും നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കുന്ന മഹാസഖ്യവും ലോക്‌സഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലെ അട്ടിമറി ജയം ആവര്‍ത്തിക്കാന്‍ ബി.ജെ.പിയും പതിനെട്ടടവും പുറത്തെടുത്താണ് തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് പ്രചരണം നടത്തിയത്.

അവസാനഘട്ട പോളിങ് അവസാനിച്ചതിന് പിന്നാലെ ദേശീയ മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെ എക്‌സിറ്റ് പോള്‍ സര്‍വേഫലങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്തുവന്നു. മഹാസഖ്യത്തിന് മുന്‍തൂക്കം പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന സര്‍വേകളാണ് ഭൂരിപക്ഷവും. 243ല്‍ മഹാസഖ്യം 122 സീറ്റുകള്‍ നേടുമെന്ന് ടൈംസ് നൗ-സീവോട്ടര്‍ സര്‍വേ പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു. എന്‍.ഡി.എയ്ക്ക് 111 സീറ്റുകളാണ് ടൈംസ് നൗ-സീവോട്ടര്‍ പ്രവചിക്കുന്നത്. ഇന്ത്യ ടുഡെ സര്‍വേ എന്‍.ഡി.എയ്ക്ക് മുന്‍തൂക്കം പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു.

ന്യൂസ് എക്‌സ് മഹാസഖ്യത്തിന് കേവലഭൂരിപക്ഷം പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു. ന്യൂസ് എക്‌സ്, മഹാസഖ്യത്തിന് 130-140 സീറ്റും എന്‍.ഡി.എയ്ക്ക് 90-100 സീറ്റും പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു. ന്യൂസ് നേഷന്‍ സര്‍വേയും മഹാസഖ്യത്തിന് ഭൂരിപക്ഷം പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു. 124 സീറ്റുകള്‍ വരെയാണ് ന്യൂസ് നേഷന്‍ മഹാസഖ്യത്തിന് പ്രവചിക്കുന്നത്. എ.ബി.പി ന്യൂസ് സര്‍വേ മഹാസഖ്യത്തിന് 130 സീറ്റുകള്‍ പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു. ഉച്ചവരെയുള്ള കണക്കുകള്‍ പ്രകാരമാണ് സര്‍വേ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്.

As the Nitish Kumar-led coalition marched to victory in the Bihar Assembly polls, the Congress today lost no time in crediting Rahul Gandhi for it, hailing him as the "architect" of the Grand Alliance.

Beaming beatifically at a press conference, Rahul said, the results are a victory of unity over divisiveness, humility over arrogance, love over hate.
"This is a message for the PM, the BJP and the RSS, that they cannot divide and rule. You cannot set Hindu against Muslim. This country is for everybody," Rahul said.

He added that the PM and BJP must shed their arrogance. He said the Bihar results was a victory of truth and that divisive agenda will fail. Congratulating JD-U chief Nitish Kumar, Rahul said that the Congress wants him as the chief minister as was decided.

The Congress is leading in 19 seats so far and had contested 41 seats out of 243 as part of the Grand Alliance.

Congress general secretary Shakeel Ahmed and the rest of the party has insisted that the Grand Alliance could not have been possible but for the effective role played by the Congress Vice President.

Leaders recalled that it was Rahul who brought Nitish and Lalu Prasad together and played a key role of catalyst at a time when the RJD supremo was having reservations.

The victory in Bihar is also being talked about as a good timing for Rahul to take over as party chief.

Bihar is the first victory for Congress after a long time -- the last major victory being the Karnataka assembly polls where it defeated the BJP. The 40-minute meeting between Rahul and Nitish Kumar in Delhi months ahead of the polls played a crucial role and is being termed as "path breaking", Congress sources said.

Rahul ended his speech by saying that the nation has waited for more that a year for PM's 'car' to start and that unless steps on the accelerator, the people will open the car door and throw him out as they did in Bihar.

Congratulating the people of Bihar on the victory of grand alliance, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury today said the Modi wave was on the wane and the real "achhe din" have begun for the people of India. "We congratulate the people of Bihar and also the grand alliance for their landmark victory. Achhe din have finally begun for the people," Yechury said in his reaction to the Bihar poll result.

"The Modi wave had already halted in Delhi, yesterday in Kerala and now in Bihar," Yechury said adding it was dubbed a tsunami, but it only succeeded in bringing destruction to the country. He said that since 2014 the BJP was working against the secular democratic structure of the country. Their campaign had now backfired in Bihar.
