India’s Greatest Actress of all time: Sridevi sealed the first place with 39 percent of the total votes. Madhuri Dixit and Savithri have occupied the second and third spots with 16 percent and 12 percent votes. Aishwarya Rai, Saroja Devi, Madhubala and Smitha Patil received 8, 6, 4 and 3 percent votes respectively.
India’s Greatest Film of all time: Nayakan (Nayakudu in Telugu) – 42 percent; Sholay – 29 percent, Swayamvaram – 6 percent, Mughal-e-Azam – 5 percent, Pather Panchali – 5 percent.
India’s Greatest Director of all time: Mani Ratnam – 29 percent; K Balachander – 18 percent; Satyajit Ray – 14 percent; Shankar – 9 percent.

ഫിലിം ക്രിട്ടിക്സ് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു; നെല്ലുലോയ്ഡ് മികച്ച ചിത്രം
തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ഫിലിം ക്രിട്ടിക്സ് അസോസിയേഷന് പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. ലാല് ആണ് മികച്ച നടന്. ചിത്രം ഒഴിമുറി. നടി ശ്വേതമേനോന് (ഇത്രമാത്രം, ഒഴിമുറി), സംവിധായകന് കമല് (സെല്ലുലോയ്ഡ്). മികച്ച ചിത്രം- സെല്ലുലോയ്ഡ്. സമഗ്ര സംഭാവനയ്ക്കുള്ള ചലച്ചിത്ര രത്നം പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് നെടുമുടി വേണുവും അര്ഹനായി.

ആദ്യ ചിത്രത്തിന് മുമ്പേ സ്വര്ണ്ണാതോമസ് സൂപ്പര്നായിക
സൂപ്പര്നായികമാരെല്ലാം അതിര്ത്തി കടക്കുകയോ സെലക്ടീവ് ആകുകയോ ഒക്കെ ചെയ്തതോടെ പുതുമുഖ നായികമാരുടെ പിന്നാലെ നടക്കേണ്ട സ്ഥിതിയിലാണ് മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക്. മറുനാട്ടില് നിന്നും മലയാളത്തിലേക്ക് ഭാഗ്യം പരീക്ഷിക്കാനായി എത്തുന്ന അടുത്ത നായിക സ്വര്ണ്ണാ തോമസാണ്. സ്വര്ണ്ണാ തോമസിനെ ടെലിവിഷന് പ്രേക്ഷകര്ക്ക് ഏറെക്കുറെ നന്നായി അറിയാം. 2011 ല് അമൃതാ ടിവിയിലെ കുട്ടികളുടെ ഡാന്സ് റിയാലിറ്റി ഷോയായ സൂപ്പര് ഡാന്സര് ജൂനിയര് 2 വില് തകര്പ്പന് പ്രകടനം നടത്തിയിരുന്നു സ്വര്ണ്ണ. നായികയായുള്ള ആദ്യ സിനിമ പോലും ഇതുവരെ ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടില്ല. എന്നിട്ടും വമ്പന് നടികള്ക്ക് മാത്രം ലഭിക്കുന്ന തിരക്കിന്റെ വഴിയിലാണ് സ്വര്ണ്ണ. മൂന്ന് മലയാള ചിത്രങ്ങളും രണ്ട് തമിഴ് ചിത്രങ്ങളുമാണ് താരത്തിന്റെ അക്കൗണ്ടില്. പ്ളസ് ടൂ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥിനിയായ സ്വര്ണ്ണ നവാഗതരായ സക്കീര് മഠത്തിലിന്റെ 'ക്യൂ' കൃഷ്ണജിത് വിജയന്റെ 'ഫ്ളാറ്റ് നം 4 ബി' രാജ് മേനോന്റെ 'ബഡ്ഡി' എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളില് പറഞ്ഞു കേള്ക്കുന്ന പേരുകളില് ഒന്നാണ്. ആദ്യ ചിത്രം പിതാവിന്റെ നാട്ടുകാരായ പ്രേക്ഷകര് കാണുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് തന്നെ താരം തമിഴിലും രണ്ടു ചിത്രങ്ങളില് കരാറായി. വെട്രി ശെല്വന്, യാ ഇന്ത മയക്കം എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലാണ് താരം നായികയാകുന്നത്. പിതാവ് മലയാളിയാണെങ്കിലും മാതാവ് മറാത്തിയായ സ്വര്ണ്ണയ്ക്ക് ഡാന്സ് റിയാലിറ്റി ഷോയില് പങ്കെടുക്കാനായി മുംബൈയില് നിന്നും കേരളത്തില് എത്തുന്നത് വരെ മലയാളത്തിലെ ഒരു വാക്കു പോലും അറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു. വിവിധ ഭാഷകളില് വിവിധ വേഷങ്ങളില് പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടാന് കഴിയുന്നത് തന്റെ ഭാഗ്യമെന്നാണ് താരം പറയുന്നത്.
