UK Malayalees' favourite dance teacher Chitra ties knot with Malayalam film star Shankar

UK Malayalees' favourite dance teacher Chitra Lakshmi, who is one of the most popular in the dance scene in Malayalee community in the UK, has tied the knot with Malayalam film star Shankar.

The marriage, which was kept on a low note, was held in the presence of close relatives from both sides at Guruvayur in September last year.

Chithra, originally from Ottapalam in Kerala, has been a resident in the UK for several years and has been the backbone of several dance events held by Malayalee organisations across the UK.

Chithra has choreographed several dance programmes for Malayalam films, high profile events, both in the UK and in India and is an accomplished dancer. Chitra is at present choreographing for the new and upcoming Malayalam film 'Manal Nagaram', directed by Shankar.

Both Chitra and Shankar are divorcees from their earlier marriage.

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ആശുപത്രി വിട്ട നടന്‍ ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാര്‍ വരുംദിനങ്ങളില്‍ മാധ്യമങ്ങളെ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുമെന്ന വാര്‍ത്തയ്ക്കു പിന്നാലെ ജഗതിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് മറ്റൊരു ഞെട്ടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വാര്‍ത്ത പുറത്തു വരുന്നു. ജഗതിക്ക് അപകടം ഉണ്ടായതില്‍ ദുരൂഹത ഉണ്ടെന്നാണ് മംഗളം വാരികയ്ക്ക് നല്‍കിയ അഭിമുഖത്തില്‍ ജഗതിയുടെ രണ്ടാം ഭാര്യ കലയുടെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തല്‍. കലയുടെ അഭിമുഖത്തിലെ പ്രസക്തഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ ഇങ്ങനെയാണ്.

' ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഓരോന്ന് ആലോചിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ചേട്ടനു സംഭവിച്ചത് സ്വാഭാവിക അപകടം തന്നെയാണോ എന്നുപോലും ചിലനേരം സംശയിക്കും ഞാന്‍. കാരണം ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മി മകളാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയ ദിവസമാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചെന്നു കാണാന്‍ പോലും ചിലര്‍ അനുവദിക്കുന്നില്ല. അതൊക്കെ കൂട്ടിവായിക്കുമ്പോഴാണു സംശയം. ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മിയെ ഒരുനോക്കു കണ്ടാല്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അസുഖത്തിനു മാറ്റമുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പാണ്. പക്ഷെ അങ്ങനെ ഒരു മാറ്റം വരരുതെന്ന് ചിലര്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.'

ജഗതിയും കലയും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം മുതല്‍ ജഗതിയുടെ വ്യക്തി ജീവിതത്തിലെ പല വിവരങ്ങളും, മകളുടെ ജനനം, വളര്‍ച്ച അടക്കം തുടങ്ങി പൊതുസമൂഹം അറിയാത്ത എല്ലാ രഹസ്യങ്ങളും വാരികയ്ക്കു നല്‍കിയ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയില്‍ പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഒരു വര്‍ഷം മുന്‍പ് ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാറിനു നിയമപരമായ വിവാഹബന്ധത്തിനു പുറമേ ഒരു ഭാര്യയും മകളും ഉണ്ടെന്ന വാര്‍ത്ത മംഗളം വാരിക പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിനു ശേഷം കോഴിക്കോട്ടു വച്ച് സംഭവിച്ച കാര്‍ അപകടത്തില്‍ അബോധാവസ്ഥയിലായ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കാണാന്‍ കലയെയും ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മിയെയും ജഗതിയുടെ വീട്ടുകാര്‍ അനുവദിച്ചില്ലെന്ന് കോടതിയില്‍ പരാതി നല്‍കുകയുമുണ്ടായി. അപകടം സ്വാഭാവികമല്ലെന്ന പുതിയ ആരോപണവുമായി കല രംഗത്തു വന്നത് നിര്‍ണായക ഘട്ടത്തിലാണ്. ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ ജഗതിയുടെ അഭിപ്രായം എന്താണെന്നും അറിയേണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

ടി വി സീരിയലുകളാണ് ജീവിതമെന്ന് ധരിക്കുന്നതാണ് പല കുഴപ്പങ്ങള്‍ക്കും കാരണമെന്ന് ഐഷാപോറ്റി എംഎല്‍എ. സമൂഹത്തിന്‌ പറ്റിയ ഒരു സന്ദേശം പോലും നല്‍കാന്‍ സീരിയലുകള്‍ക്ക്‌ കഴിയുന്നില്ല. ഇതുകാരണം അമ്മമാര്‍ക്ക്‌ കുട്ടികളെ വേണ്ടരീതിയില്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാന്‍ സമയം കിട്ടുന്നില്ലെന്നും അവര്‍ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി.

കൊട്ടാരക്കരയില്‍ റൂറല്‍ പോലീസ്‌ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച സ്ത്രീകള്‍ക്കും കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കും എതിരെയുള്ള അതിക്രമം തടയല്‍ നിയമത്തെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ നടന്ന സെമിനാര്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു അവര്‍. സമൂഹത്തിന്‌ തെറ്റായ സന്ദേശം നല്‍കുന്ന ടിവി സീരിയലുകള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തേണ്ട സമയം അതിക്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. നമ്മുടെ ശ്രദ്ധ കുടുംബത്തിലേക്ക്‌ അടിയന്തിരമായി തിരിച്ചുവരണം. കുട്ടികളെ നല്ല കൂട്ടുകാരായി കണ്ട്‌ നല്ല കുടുംബാന്തരീക്ഷം ഉണ്ടായാല്‍ പല അതിക്രമങ്ങളെയും അതിജീവിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയും.

വധശിക്ഷ കൊണ്ടോ, നിയമം കൊണ്ടോ മാത്രം ഇത്തരം ദുഷ്പ്രവണതകളെ തകര്‍ക്കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല. മാനസിക മാറ്റത്തിന്‌ സമൂഹം തയാറാകണം. പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ തലത്തിലും പുരുഷന്മാരേയും കൂട്ടി യോജിപ്പിച്ച്‌ ബോധവല്‍ക്കരണ ക്ലാസുകള്‍ നടത്തണമെന്നും അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
